Point Judith Light Under Clear Rhode Island Sky

Point Judith Light marks the eastern entrance to Narragansett Bay, where Rhode Island's southern coast turns decisively seaward. The station comprises two distinct structures—the keeper's house with its attached tower on the left, and the taller brown-and-white striped tower on the right, built to replace the original light in 1857. The grass stretches flat and open here, offering an unobstructed view across the water. On clear days like this one, the sky dominates the composition, a deep blue punctuated by wispy clouds that move steadily inland. The American flags snap in the ocean breeze, a small but deliberate gesture marking this as a working navigational aid and a place of public trust. The light continues its daily duty, guiding vessels safely past the point.
